
Jean Christofferson, MBA
Director of Communications
Jean Christofferson (IABC Phoenix) is the director of marketing and communications, and part of the Philanthropy Leadership team, for Catholic Charities Community Services, a nonprofit charity, which helps more than 17,000 individuals throughout central and northern Arizona each year. She is a member of the crisis management and risk management teams and leads a team of professionals and freelancers who develop, manage and track all marketing, communications, and PR campaigns and is responsible for the agency’s website strategy.
Prior to her work at Catholic Charities, she was managing editor for WorldatWork, a nonprofit association for HR professionals, where she led a complete print and electronic redesign of its award-winning member magazine and quarterly academic journal and managed a team of writers and editors.
She volunteers weekly for Saving Paws Rescue, a nonprofit specializing in saving homeless, and medically and behaviorally challenged German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. She currently has four dogs from the rescue as well as a cat, who remains in charge of the house.
She holds a master’s degree from the Colangelo College of Business at Grand Canyon University and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri – Columbia. Originally from the St. Louis, Mo. Area, she moved to Phoenix in 1995 where she met her husband and raises two college-age sons.
